OUR MISSIONS
FEBRUARY, 2014
May the God of Tender and Merciful Blessings and Forgiveness bestow upon you
an abundant life in His Will!
Our Mission Programs...
People often ask us why we choose to help people in other countries and not
focus in helping only those in the United States.
As Christians in the mission field this is a troubling
question. However, for us as Christians, the answer is simple:
This is where God told us to work!
For others who do not understand Christian principles, the answer is also simple:
This is where God told us to work!
However, the work we do is not so simple!
We have a small staff. We serve the less fortunate and physically and
mentally challenged in the areas we serve. We see tragedy unfold each and
everyday, and we see the Miracles that show us that God is with us. We do what we can to make the word
a better and safer place, and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
As far as United States' social issues, as most people may not
realize, in the United States there are many, many programs that are
fully staffed and well-funded by the United States Government and large
corporations and foundations that assist the underprivileged and poor
in the United States. The money raised by these charitable
organizations through large corporations and foundations, as well as
from the working-class citizens, pays for the expensive advertising
and overhead of their organization's operations as well as the cost
spent to solicit for donations.
What the public is not aware of is that very small percentage of this money
raised trickles back down to the people these bigger charities are assisting.
But, the sheer volume of money raised in their fund-raising programs
is substantial enough to pay the heavy overhead and other expenses
with enough money remaining to give to the charity to fund their
programs.
Our little, humble Ministry does not have such luxuries of public
relations firms or big expense accounts to raise money for our
missions. We raise money where we can and then, quite
frankly, beg for the rest of what is needed. It is a constant
struggle. We struggle for every dime, nickel and penny we receive
spend it very sparingly.
What we raise, 70-80% goes directly to assist our missions, which
goes directly to those whom we are assisting. The remainder pays
for our overhead. Many of our workers are either volunteers or
involuntary volunteers. Many times we can assist
those in need, but our workers go without paychecks. We do however,
pay for their living expenses. No one complains. We just do what
God directs. We are a happy Christian family.
Where our Missions are located, there is very little help in the areas
we specialize in.
Whatever is happening here in our Ministry with our Missions, it is a
struggle to accomplish what we try to accomplish with very little or
no money. But, we are seeing positive results from the work we have
already done.
